How is Bigkoko prepaid card different to a bank ATM debit or credit card?
✓ Bigkoko Prepaid cards have no credit facility, you can only spend the money that has been preloaded on to the card. It means that unlike bank ATM debit or credit cards there is no borrowing on the card and no interest to pay.
✓ Bigkoko prepaid cards are not linked to any financial institutions or accounts, unlike bank ATM debit cards.
✓ Unlike bank debit cards, Bigkoko prepaid cards are not cash redeemable, they are exclusively designed for elevated shopping experience.
✓ Unlike bank ATM debit cards, Bigkoko prepaid cards are used in-store only where the "Bigkoko cards Accepted Here" signage is displayed.
✓ Transaction fees. Unlike bank debit cards, Bigkoko prepaid cards are transaction-fee Free. There are no maintenance fees, no transaction fees etc. Users only buy the digital cards and pay a one-time service charge of 3.7% on the amount loaded, and if the user request an NFC Card, a further $1 equivalent in local currency. Use of Bigkoko prepaid business card won’t improve your business’s credit score, our exclusively designed for one purpose: help you shop and pay merchants with ease!. This is because it is not a debit or credit card so the card issuer doesn’t usually report your payment information to the credit reference agencies. • How many prepaid cards can I get? As much as you wish! This will depend on your needs • Can I use a business prepaid card to withdraw cash? No. Our cards are exclusively designed for shopping and payment to merchants on our network. • What is a Bigkoko virtual prepaid card? We offer the option to have physical prepaid cards, or you can have virtual cards – or a combination of both to suit the business’ needs. A virtual prepaid card is a digital version of the physical card and can be used for payments and purchases. The cardholder is given the card number, Serial number and the PIN (security number) needed to make an online or USSD payment. • How do I top-up a Bigkoko prepaid card? There will usually be a range of options for topping up your prepaid cards. Usually, you’ll be able to add funds to the card via a bank transfer, Mobile money, another Card or through an online payment on the prepaid card app. You can also top up with cash at various pay points nationally. Note. Always check that the methods of payment permitted with a specific prepaid card and the fees applied. And bear in mind that topping up cards can carry a service charge of of 3.7%.
