Rates & Conversions

If you plan to use Bigkoko gift cards in a location (Country) different from where you reside (Country), these applies to you:

  • After you purchase the gift card in your local currency, the FX rate will be made known to you.
  • When you pay a vendor the total amount equivalent in your local currency would be deducted from your gift cards.
Applicable fees.
  • Processing fee (one time): 1.2% flat. For example, 5000Rwf - 60Rwf (1.2% of 5000Rwf).
  • 3rd party transaction fee (one time): 2.5% 5000Rwf - 125Rwf (2.5% of 5000Rwf).
  • Total deductions: 5000Rwf - 185Rwf = 4815Rwf.
  • Gift card balance for use: Gift card balance for use: 4815Rwf.
  • Zero transaction fee applies. You can use the gift cards anytime, all times without paying any additional fees.
